- Using the production plan, work with Director SCM to develop a monthly RM Inventory plan.
- Reforecast the inventory plan based on Quarterly reforecast.
- Working with Budgeting & Controlling Section, Internal Audit to develop detailed inventory handling, storage & issuance procedures with internal controls built into the processes.
- Periodically test internal controls to ensure they are meeting the control objectives.
- Working with Quality department, develop material performance criteria for key materials (e.g. extract per kg of herb etc.) and ensure that supplier performance is strictly monitored against these criteria.
- Develop Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) criteria for each material & ensure strict implementation. Report monthly to management on any variances vs the EOQ and reasons.
- Work with IT to develop key inventory reports e.g. obsolete items, special storage items, inventory item ageing, inventory turnover, Receipt/Issue UOM change items etc.
- Ensure complete physical control over the Raw Material Inventory.
- Conduct monthly physical checks on inventory items & explain all variances to management.
- Develop controls and processes to ensure that no major physical items variances during monthly physical checks.
- Working with Budgeting and Controlling Section & Internal Audit to develop standards for opening item codes in Item Master Table.
- Have complete control over Item Master Table in the data base and ensure that item codes are opened as per required standards.
- Ensure monthly clean-up of clearance accounts in the COA, either return rejected item to suppliers or scrap.
- Working with Budgeting & controlling section & Internal Audit, develop Scrap storage and Scrap sales processes & ensure implementation.
- Conduct monthly material issuance and consumption reconciliations by item; ensure results tie up with Budgeting & Controlling Section.
- Analyze inventory holding costs, inventory consumption cycles, RM item and Sales Product seasonality cycles to reduce the inventory holding costs as per the SOPs developed by Controlling Section.
- Plan Raw Material delivery costs & ways to reduce costs, breakage as well as missing products.
- Working with IT & controlling Section ensures development of a complete Inventory module & reports.
- Regularly review the module to ensure it represents the actual inventory handling practices.
- Review ROL on daily basis & prepare purchase requisition.
- Checking & posting of purchase requisitions, SIR (Store Issue Requisition) & MRIR (Material Receipt & Inspection Report)
- To generate purchase orders and Store management for Raw Material, Store & Spares & Fixed Assets.
- Quotation Management and Prepare comparative statements as per Procurement Manual.
- Ensure timely preparation of MRIR & forward to QA & QC for inspection.
- Develop system to ensure correct stacking of pass, hold & rejected material at their designated location.
- Monitor received SIR and ensures timely issuance.
- Ensure proper identification of material & implementation of physical material issuance on FIFO basis.
