We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable, flexible and enthusiastic full-time IT Technician to assist our clients Business Systems. There will be a mixture of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line Support activities. Your main responsibility is to be the first point of contact for internal/external staff of all there technical queries. It is a fantastic, professional and friendly environment to work in and you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and technologies on the job.
Typical responsibilities of the job include:
- Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
- Installing and configuring computer networks and systems
- Identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems
- Consulting with clients to specify system requirements and design solutions
- Budgeting for equipment and assembly costs
- Assembling new systems
- Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading any that have become obsolete
- Monitoring computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved
- Working with IT support personnel
- Providing network administration and support
- Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Great at organising, prioritising and multitasking
