A skeptical Monitoring & Evaluation Manager having relevant academic and professional experience. The M&E Manager will be responsible for establishing and implementing an effective system to monitor progress of activities and performance at all levels. Having an advanced degree in public policy, business administration or development related studies, and strong facilitation and training skills.

A monitoring and evaluation manager provides oversight for planning, evaluation, knowledge management and monitoring. He identifies performance indicators, develops quality assurance strategies, trains employees, maintains contact with program coordinators and ensures all aspects comply with institutional requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and relevant computer software skills. Should be a problem solver. To be result oriented. Should have strong management skills, Leadership & Assessment skills, Strategy execution skills, Office & Administration Skills, Performance improvement skills, and should have strong financial control skills. He should be competitive with Analytical Skills.

Establishes the measurable and verifiable set of deliverables that will be developed under each cluster, with each indicator providing measurable progress towards the outcomes and the objectives. Establishes sound data collection, analysis and reporting strategies on required performance indicators in line with company’s guidelines. 

Develops the Management Plan setting out specific quantifiable performance indicators and targets for overall objectives and activities and establishing monitoring systems to measure progress. By ensuring that the operations comply with performance requirements. He/she will conduct regular inspections to detect areas that violate the guidelines and initiates corrective measures. 

This position reports to the Director. He/she is responsible for supervising coordinators, and other staff. Might allocate duties to staff and direct them to compile progress reports. The manager also can organize and coordinate training programs for personnel to help update their skills, technical abilities and professional knowledge, all of which are crucial for maintaining high monitoring and evaluation management standards.
