The role is working for a well-established, multi-national Education company that specializes in education and training products/courses.
You will be working normal hours (minimum 40 hours a week) from your home as a remote working employee parallel to the UK working time (during office hours) Monday to Friday.
As a Senior QA Test Engineer, you will be a key part of an Agile development team working on client bespoke projects, there’s a constant pipeline of BA Training projects; you’ll help the team to continuously and iteratively improve the automation, tools, and processes to get code from conception through to production with high quality and as risk-free as possible.
You’ll get involved with architecture and design planning, using your experience to input into technical discussions and writing test cases based on project specifications and designs ensuring that the product meets requirements using manual and automated tests.
About You:
You will have a strong academic background having graduated from a Computer Science / Software Engineering or similar background with a minimum of a 2:1 and have a strong interest in Quality.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude are required.
You will have solid commercial experience in manual and automated testing of desktop, web, and mobile applications, managing releases, and regression testing owning and maintaining the test processes, Test Impact Analysis, Test failure Analysis, Test reporting.
Skills Required:
- You'll have experience in both manual and automated testing, including SQL, C#, Automation, working in Agile Environments, Understanding of and experience of Azure DevOps, etc.
- It would also be beneficial to have experience in Front-End technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, etc.
- Previous experience as a QA Test Engineer
- Experience in both Automation and Manual Testing in a microservices environment
- Previous experience with Front-End technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, Laravel, React, Node.js, etc.
- An IT-related degree from a reputable University
- Good understanding of JavaScript ES6 code; coding experience a bonus – a desire to learn a must!
- Good understanding of Web Services and APIs, cross-browser testing experience.
- Shell scripting and command-line experience
- Collaborative with good communication skills
