The Tax Manager’s position is a key role within our well-established company Chemicals Industry.
The company has offices both in Pakistan and China and operates in a newly-built, well-furnished and self-owned building.
Your primary responsibilities will be to process income withholding and sales tax returns as well other functions as and when required.
You will be part of the Accounts Team and therefore assistance and team-building opportunities are adequately available.
Following are some of the key responsibilities of this position.
- Independently gather information and provide response to tax authorities’ inquiries.
- Preparing schedules and reconciliations to support quarterly and annual tax provisions under Federal and Provincial Tax laws of Pakistan related to income, withholding and sales tax.
- Liaise with our company lawyers regarding tax aspects.
- Have sound knowledge regarding tax-related laws both at provincial and federal level.
- Follow up with FBR and other government authorities on various tax inquiries.
- Preparation of payment requests, journal entries and maintaining all related backup.
- Retrieve and review invoices to ensure tax return positions are supported.
- Prepare analysis on balance sheet accounts to support tax positions.
- Maintain neat and organised supporting work papers and tax files which provide audit trail.
