We are looking for curious and solution-oriented AI professionals who can harness artificial intelligence to develop impactful tools, automate workflows, and enhance operations, customer experience, and internal systems. The Business Analyst role within the Food vertical plays a vital part in driving data-driven insights and strategies to increase user acquisition, engagement, and retention across Careem’s platform. This position requires advanced data analytics, consumer behavior analysis, and optimization of key growth metrics such as Customer Lifetime Value (CLTV), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Average Order Value (AOV), and Average Revenue Per User (ARPU).
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Preparation: Extract data from multiple sources including SQL databases, APIs, and third-party platforms. Cleanse and prepare datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability. Regularly verify data integrity and develop scripts to automate repetitive data processing tasks, improving operational efficiency.
- Analysis and Insights: Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends and patterns across channels, verticals, and campaigns. Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to assess the impact of growth initiatives. Analyze user behavior and segment performance to support growth, engagement, and retention strategies. Utilize predictive analytics to forecast trends and business outcomes.
- Reporting and Visualization: Create and maintain real-time dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Power BI. Produce and distribute regular reports on key performance indicators. Present data insights through clear visualizations to aid decision-making. Monitor core growth KPIs including retention rates, churn, and acquisition metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics from a Tier-1 institute.
- 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within large-scale B2C startups in sectors like food delivery, e-commerce, gaming, or consumer internet.
- Strong skills in data mining, statistical modeling, and advanced data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Power BI, VBA, Tableau, and PowerPoint.
- Solid understanding of A/B testing, regression analysis, user segmentation, cohort analysis, churn/attrition modeling, and CLTV frameworks.
- Proven ability to apply behavioral analytics concepts to growth models.
- Excellent communication skills with the capability to convey complex analytical results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
