The New Business Finance Manager position based in Karachi offers a strategic opportunity to influence financial outcomes through spend management, insightful reporting, and disciplined budgeting across multiple markets, playing a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead variance analysis against budgets and manage comprehensive budgeting exercises across various markets, ensuring accurate monthly accruals for all operational regions.
- Serve as the primary liaison for cost optimization initiatives, actively contributing to strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Develop and implement expenditure control measures aligned with allocated budgets for different markets, ensuring financial discipline.
- Design and maintain financial systems and dashboards that enhance visibility and control over spending, supporting stakeholders in making informed decisions.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or anomalies in spend tracking to Business Leaders and the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve financial systems and processes in line with evolving business requirements.
- Work closely with data teams to resolve data integrity issues, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Up to 6 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential; knowledge of SQL is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to data gathering and generating actionable insights for impactful decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment with a hands-on, ownership-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of clearly and persuasively conveying complex financial information to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, with a solid foundation in financial principles.
