StormFiber is looking for motivated and skilled fresh diploma holders (DAE) in Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, or Civil disciplines to join as Cable Technicians. This full-time position involves hands-on work with fiber optic cable infrastructure, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting necessary to support the company’s network services. The role requires a proactive approach to handling service disruptions and a commitment to delivering timely and effective solutions to ensure network reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the installation of fiber optic cable infrastructure up to the distribution box.
- Efficiently handle on-the-spot complaints to minimize service downtime.
- Assist the splicer during Fiber Distribution Terminal (FDT) and Distribution Box (ADT) operations.
- Lay and manage cables of various fiber counts, including 2-fiber, 6-fiber, 12-fiber, and 24-fiber cables.
- Work with GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) technology and related equipment.
- Respond promptly to service disruption events and ensure timely restoration of services.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma in Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, or Civil Engineering (DAE).
- Basic understanding of fiber optic cable installation and maintenance.
- Ability to work on-site and perform physical tasks related to cable laying and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work effectively under pressure during service interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience or familiarity with GPON technology is considered an advantage.
