PHP Developer required to create a re-usuable backend for an online store or e-commerce site. The backend must be extremely re-useable! We plan on using that backend to launch multiple online stores, and the functions of each store may vary
We are looking for an experienced Back-end developer for this (at least 3-4 years experience) to join our IT team. As a Back-end Developer, you will be responsible for the server-side web application logic as well as for the integration of the front-end part.
Back-end Developer duties and responsibilities
- Be involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle
- Main focus on coding and debugging
- Collaborate with Front-end developers
- Define and communicate technical and design requirements
- Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in thew future
- Develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean codes
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
- Conduct UI tests and optimize performance
- Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve applications
Back-end Developer requirements and qualifications
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, such as LESS and SASS
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance
- User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
- Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
- Data migration, transformation, and scripting
- Setup and administration of backups
- Outputting data in different formats
- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
- Understanding of “session management” in a distributed server environment
- Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language (PHP, Python, JavaScript, NodeJs etc.)
- Experience with back-end frameworks (Express/Django) and Hybrid application development framework, like Ionic, are a plus
