Cafe Mozart is seeking a smart and energetic Barrista to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in preparing high-quality coffee beverages and delivering excellent customer service. This role focuses on operating espresso machines, employing various coffee brewing techniques, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed. The Barrista must work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in every cup served. Since this position does not involve managing a team, the focus will be on individual performance and contribution to a positive customer experience.
The Barrista will be responsible for crafting a wide range of coffee drinks, including pour over and cold brew methods, while operating coffee grinders and maintaining equipment upkeep. Exceptional customer interaction skills are essential to create a welcoming atmosphere and meet customer preferences accurately. This role demands a fast learner who excels in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to evolving menu items and promotional activities. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations throughout their workflow.
Responsibilities
- Operate espresso machines to prepare high-quality coffee beverages consistently
- Apply various coffee brewing techniques such as pour over, cold brew, and proper coffee grinding methods
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing customer inquiries and preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with food safety standards within the coffee preparation area
- Handle multiple orders simultaneously with speed and accuracy during peak hours
- Monitor and maintain coffee equipment and tools to ensure optimal functionality
- Educate customers about coffee varieties, brewing styles, and menu options to enhance their experience
- Assist with inventory management by reporting supplies needed for daily operations
- Follow all operational procedures and health and safety guidelines within the cafe environment
- Stay updated on new coffee trends and recommend potential additions to improve product offerings
