ROLE OVERVIEW:
A business analyst (BA) is a member of a product development team who analyzes the business domain, documents its processes and systems, outlines business requirements, and matches a software business model with the software being built. Additionally, BA works on user stories, provides mock-ups, validates functionality and performs user acceptance testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform research and develop appropriate plans, analyze plans to gather all requirements, and provide effective solutions.
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends.
- Perform requirements analysis.
- Document business process flow, use cases, and functional requirements
- Work with designers to develop graphics for software
- Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reports.
- Validate that completed product solutions meet your requirements and expectations
- Perform User acceptance testing (UAT)
- Prioritize resources and initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
- Monitor deliverables, inquiries, and issues and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Create support and training materials (written or video) for new product features that can be used by sales, customer support, and technical teams.
- Be able to coach the junior staff on technical processes and operations
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- BS/MS Software Engineering /Computer Science /MBA.
- 1 – 3 years of experience. Relevant experience in a similar role and industry would be plus.
- Experience on independent product management to some extent ( a plus)
- Able to apply to understand of applicable regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOX, HL7).
- Excellent domain knowledge of US- Healthcare Industry
- Proven experience of Agile Scrum methodology
- Proficiency with project management tools, like Jira, Trello, Asana
- Excellent technical, analytical, and strategic planning skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a target-oriented atmosphere
- Ability to work under pressure and complete the project by meeting the deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and should be a good team player
- Drive to constantly improve the productivity and quality
- Problem Solving and strong Decision-Making skills
- Proficient at multi-tasking
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Technical background with experience in software development or web technologies
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and results-driven
- Critical Thinking and can-do attitude
