- Identifying, analyzing and documenting defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program and web applications functions, outputs, online screens and content
- Testing software programs and web applications as per specifications and test plans
- Performing web UI validation for cross browser compatibility
- Creating and executing test cases and test data
- Contributing to establishment of standards and procedures for program design and testing
- Recommending program improvements or revisions to programmers and leads
- Documenting, tracking and communicating test plans, test results, analysis and unresolved problems
- Managing software/ application releases
Knowledge and Skills
- Solid understanding of project management, collaboration and quality assurance tools like JIRA, MyCollab and SVN
- Expertise in software QA methodologies
- Working experience with Agile methodologies
- Solid problem solving/troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Hands-on experience on automated testing tools e.g. Selenium, TestingWhiz etc.
- Self-motivated and highly responsive with proven capability to take initiative and work independently or with a team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
