Job Title: Software Engineer (Design Engineer)
Experience: 1 to 2 years
Responsibilities:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets.
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images.
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
Skills Required:
- Candidate should have good knowledge and experience in the following:
- Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5, CSS, Table-less, responsive design
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks React, Angular
- Experienced in coding Responsive / Adaptive /Fluid layouts.
- Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
- Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading
- Understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as SVN.
