CentricSource is seeking Experienced Database Engineer Professionals who have 3-5 years of working experience in same discipline.
Required Skills:
- Strong database and RDBMS concepts.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL storage engines.
- Excellent query writing and optimization skills.
- He should be expert in table indexing and partitioning techniques.
- Excellent data backup and restoration skills in both online and offline areas.
- General understanding of operating system, at least middle level knowledge of Linux environment is a must.
- Excellent server configuration skills including memory, CPU, database connection and disk allocation with respect to load.
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills and error/access log reading expertise.
- Must have good knowledge of configuring database as cluster.
- Must have excellent knowledge of securing database server/cluster.
- Must be good at assigning user roles and permissions.
- Should have good knowledge of database replication, clustering and sharding.
- General understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling database failover.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous/Current experience in PaaS cloud platforms; AWS experience prefered
- Good knowledge of supporting tools in all above skillset.
- General understanding of storage technologies and memory management.
- Understanding of noSQL databases preferably Mongodb.
- Mongodb server management, backup and recovery.
- Understanding of API structures and/or experience personally creating APIs is a huge plus for this role.
Included Responsibilities:
- Help to provide a seamless flow and secure accessibility of data throughout the organization; keeping in mind backend data structure as well as frontend needs for the end-user experience.
- He will be involved in database planning phase for his valuable inputs from performance, availability and storage aspects.
- He will be responsible of planning and executing backup and restoration strategies.
- He will be monitoring the database for performance and identify possible issues before occurrence.
- He will be responsible of planning database failover strategy to making it highly available for the system.
- He will be responsible of database security and reliability in-case of any issue incident should be documented.
- Work with the DevOps team to make sure that proper maintenance is performed on the database servers. This includes: overseeing upgrades, patches, migrations, etc.
- Create custom monitoring and maintenance plans.
- Administering and testing new upgrades and databases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database problems.
- He will be creating user and assigning them proper rolls and permissions.
