CentricSource is looking for A QA automation engineer should be able to design testing procedures for software applications. He will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests to validate their performance. He will also be required to identify bugs, report, and collaborate with the software development team.
He should have programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent analytical skills. He should be able to design and write efficient test procedures for every software application.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and clarify testing requirements
- Identify and prioritize test conditions addressing product risks and features to be tested.
- Define specific tests that must be designed for that area.
- Design test cases and sets of test cases to cover test conditions.
- Identify necessary test data to support test conditions and test cases
- Meeting and collaborating with the team to identify, discuss and verification protocols.
- Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.
- Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.
- Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.
- Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.
- Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
- Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.
- Collaborating with the team to solve application faults.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.
- Previous experience working as a QA automation engineer.
- Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
- Familiarity with programming script languages including Java, PHP, and/or VBScript.
- Familiarity and working experience with automation testing tools like:
- Selenium (for functional automation)
- Postman/SoapUI (for web APIs)
- Jmeter (for performance/load)
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
