We are seeking an experienced Development Project Manager to strategize and manage our commercial construction project.
The ideal candidate will be expected to:
- Plan and supervise construction procedures and ensure the project(s) are finished in a timely and efficient manner.
- The Development Project Manager must be well-acquainted with all construction methodologies and processes, while also coordinating a multidisciplinary team of professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes
- Work in partnership with a team of engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
- Oversee and manage the sales and marketing teams to deliver a commercially successful project.
- Foster a profitable relationship with external vendors.
- Obtain permits and licenses from relevant governing authorities.
- Determine the resources needed (equipment, materials, manpower) from the start of the project till its completion in accordance with the budget allocated.
- Schedule and plan all phases of construction operations.
- Negotiate contracts with potential vendors/partners.
- Hire and supervise contractors, vendors and other relevant skilled staff.
- Evaluate progress and craft detailed reports, while ensuring adherence to industry health & safety standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience of 8-10 years with mid-to-large scale commercial projects.
- BSc in engineering, building science or relevant field.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material and project management principles .
- Familiarity with quality, health and safety standards.
- Well acquainted with construction/project management software.
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- A team player with leadership abilities.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects effectively.
- The ideal candidate must also possess great analytical and organizational skills with a keen eye for details.
