- The QDC should be understand customers’ needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
- QDC solely reports to the Quality Manager.
- Ensure that all controlled Quality documents related to the Project are maintained to the latest issue, and that these documents are made available at all locations where operations essential to the effective functioning of the Quality Management System are performed.
- QDC should go through all of the Material specifications used by healthcare industry and should know all the chemicals used for the respective departments.
- QDC should oversee all the product development procedures to identify if there is any deviation from the standard quality. Later on, QDC should discuss all the points with Quality Manager.
- QDC should supervise the workers working under him/her and should see if the production is taking place with correct standards.
- Day to day progress in quality department should be submitted to Production Director. PD should stamp and sign all the documents and keep the originals and give a copy to QDC.
- QDC person should also know about ISO, FDA, MDR rules and regulations so that he can set the trends according to it.
- Responsibilities include record keeping, all documents such as specification procedures, inspection schedule and records, surveillance report, inspection release notice and quality records book with numbering system according to project filing procedure. Handling of all engineering documents. Controlling all records and sub-contractors documents.
- QDC should have a well knowledge of chemicals used in Electro Polish plant, Passivation plant and Silicon mixing + extrusion plant.
- QDC needs to perform different chemical tests and find out the results as per managers requirement.
- QDC person is allowed to carry out experiments in order to get the required results of the final finish of the product. Well aware of all types of quality documents like ITP, Checklist, RFI, method statements, Nonconformance report, Technical queries, Inspection assignment package, Disposition Report, Material Request, Technical Approval Request, Hydro test packages and other miscellaneous project contract documents.
- Go from machine to machine and checking out the wear and tear of the machine. Fill out the maintenance charts and give it to the quality manager.
- Go from each production point / machine / table with all instruments in hand and check for the quality. If there is any problem, it should be reported to the production manager immediately.
- Supervise the inspection room. Visit inspection room time to time and keep on checking for quality. If there is any problem, it should be reported to production manager and corrected accordingly.
- Supervision over the cleaning of the entire factory area.
- Keep a smooth working environment along the production floor.
- Write down all the problems in the system faced during the production / maintenance / quality checks and discuss it with the managers and try to resolve them immediately.
