About the role:
This role will be a hybrid between a data scientist and a cross-functional business analyst.
We are looking for a self-starter with a proactive mindset who can understand the drivers behind a rapidly growing business across functions.
Responsibilities will revolve around planning and reporting, predictive modelling and forecasting and analyzing large volumes of data to identify actionable insights.
The ideal candidates should have strong technical skills and a solid knowledge of core business principles.
Responsibilities:
- Work with data and information from a variety of sources: financial, marketing, operations, logistics, inventory, sales, customer service
- Create reports and dashboards to track key metrics across functions
- Analyze large volumes of data to create data driven insights that enable accurate decision-making
- Undertake exploratory analysis projects to achieve a better understanding of business processes and discover opportunities for optimization
- Implement data products that use machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, clustering, predictive modelling, forecasting and decision analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Math, Stats, Business Analytics majors preferred)
- Fresh to up to 1 year work experience in Business Intelligence or Data Science
- Strong familiarity with Excel, SQL, Python and/ or R programming
- Basic knowledge data analysis/ visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, with sensitivity and discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
