Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and advanced microbiological testing using established laboratory protocols and sterile techniques.
- Prepare, handle, and process various laboratory samples ensuring accurate identification and preparation without contamination.
- Prepare culture media, maintain proper storage conditions, and monitor culture growth to support experimental and clinical testing.
- Perform microscopy and other diagnostic techniques to observe microbial growth and identify pathogenic organisms.
- Implement and adhere to stringent quality control procedures to guarantee reliable testing outcomes and laboratory safety.
- Accurately interpret laboratory data, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support diagnostic and research activities.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure cleanliness of work areas, and comply with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with research and clinical teams by providing technical expertise and support in microbiological methodologies.
- Stay current with advances in microbiological testing techniques and laboratory technology to contribute to continuous improvement.
