Software Architect

As Software Architect, you will be responsible for analyzing complex requirements, overseeing and providing technical guidance in the development of new software architecture designs for software systems that could include scalable web and mobile applications for startups and established clients.

You will lead and be part of an agile continuous delivery team and collaborate with designers, senior developers, UX, project managers, and others to help deliver product capabilities and features. You will be working to develop new frameworks and scalable infrastructure utilizing broader technologies including but not limited to MEAN/MERN stack, Python, NoSQL databases, AI/ML expertise, AWS, Azure, Automation, Docker Containers, Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the evaluation, design, and development of software systems, including creating architectural approaches for software design and implementations to guide the development team.
• Collaborates with Customers to identify business requirements.
• Collaborates with engineers from all disciplines to determine functional and non-functional requirements for software systems.
• Defines all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
• Contribute to the development of software requirement specifications for the software system
• Contribute to the planning, design, and   implementation of the software test plans and procedures
• Lead and collaborate with team of software engineers to meet program objectives through the entire software development lifecycle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years architecting/designing solutions built on cloud platforms including AWS and/or Azure
• 8+ years of experience as a solutions architect, software engineer, technical consultant, or technical pre-sales in Enterprise IT
• Broad technology experience across cloud architecture, applications development, relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytics, machine learning, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, serverless, CI/CD, cloud migrations, or IT transformations
• Experience with AWS, REST APIs, Docker, containers, micro-services/AWS lambda is a must.
• Sound business judgment with proven ability to influence business stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, develop actionable tactical plans quickly, up-level the insights to strategy.
• Demonstrated ability of being a "trusted advisor" to customers. Able to facilitate relationships with senior technical executives, as well as easily interact and give guidance to software developers, IT operations staff, and system architects.
• Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline driven, start-up environment.
• Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills
