  • Aid patients for maintenance of hygiene and related activities.
  • Following hospital's rules and operating procedures.
  • Helping nursing, medical staff when required.
  • Organizing medicines, logs and reports of patients.
  • Assist Ward staff for patients in and out of taxis, ambulances or cars.
  • Deliver and collect linen, rubbish, general waste, specimens and equipment.
  • Maintain clean and prepare wheelchairs, trolleys and other equipment.
  • Assist in administrative duties such as photocopying ward forms.
  • Assist in the maintenance of stocks of linen and non-medical supplies.
  • Assist Ward staff in lifting and turning patients, transporting them in wheelchairs, stretches or on movable beds between wards and departments.
  • Clean rooms such as bathrooms, showers, utility rooms and offices and clean interior windows.
  • Clean equipment in the pan room such as pan trolleys, buckets, pans, bowls, suction bottles and tubing, commodes, wheelchairs and seats, and rinse trays.
  • Wash patients' lockers and tables.
  • Help transport equipment, X-rays, patient records and deceased patients between wards, departments, theatres and mortuary.
  • Cleans hospital patient rooms, baths, laboratories, offices, halls, and other areas: Washes beds and mattresses, and remakes beds after dismissal of patients.
  • Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
  • Distributes laundered articles and linens.
  • Replaces soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.
  • Performs other duties as described under CLEANER I Master Title.
  • May disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies, using germicides and sterilizing equipment.
