A Research Associate position is available in the Cloud Computing Research Group (CCRG) at LUMS. The position is for an ICT-R&D funded project focusing on improving efficiency and reducing cost for development, deployment, and management of Business Processes (BPs) of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Specifically, the objective is to utilize the cloud-based services and resources for rapid development and deployment of BPs for SME organizations.
The duties and responsibilities of the Research Associate include:
- Design and develop Software Requirement Specification and system architecture documents
- Develop and integrate the required software components by implementing the algorithms developed through research activities of the research team
- Design and develop user interfaces
- Conduct testing and evaluation of the system
- Participate in reviews and meetings and provide updates on project progress
- Assist in timely preparation of project components, reports, and other deliverables
- Assist the PI/Co-PI and Team Lead in the smooth operation and successful completion of the project
Required Skills:
- Java EE
- C/C++
Preferred skills:
- Web services development
- Database programming
- GUI design and development
- Software testing
