The Cloud Engineer is responsible for building, continuous monitoring, deploying and supporting a variety of CNC’s applications in the cloud.
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for supporting the build and deployment activities of various Cloud tools and applications. The Cloud Engineer will support system operations services to both internal and external clients in development, QA and production environments.
Responsibilities
As a Cloud Engineer at CNC, you will set-up, monitor and manage a variety of Cloud tools / applications running on Linux servers, using multiple cloud vendors such as AWS and Azure, managing docker / kubernetes clusters across multiple regions.
You will be responsible for operations, automation of repetitive operational tasks, providing technical support for client and applications success.
You take ownership of the tasks assigned to you and get it completed successfully.
You have basic knowledge to create pipelines for build-management and deployments, and are proficient in understanding container-based and cloud native software services.
Skills
You have at least 1-2 year of experience in Python, Ansible, Docker, Docker-Compose, Git, Devops, Linux, Cloud, REST, SSO, web-security and RDBMS management.
Communication and collaboration skills will be of paramount importance in your position. Effective and quick response time to all issues is expected, as are excellent analytical, problem-solving, time-management skills, and an awareness of laws regarding data governance and protection.
Desire to automate repetitive operational work.
Experience
1-3 years managing and supporting Cloud and cloud based applications. AWS and Azure preferred.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering.
Experience with monitoring, automation of repetitive tasks and pipelines.
Experience of various DBMS, ERP, and cloud native software management.
Nice to have
Experience with microservices and Helm.
Plus points for any Openshift experience.
HashiCorp Vault, any knowledge will be considered favorably.
Basic knowledge of Sox, GDPR and data protection compliance.
