- We are looking for an experienced Back-end developer to join our team on part time/project basis.
- You will be responsible for the server side of our web applications.
- If you have excellent programming skills and a passion for developing applications or improving existing ones, we would like to meet you.
- As a Back-end developer, you’ll work closely with our engineers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.
- Ultimately, you should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable web applications to meet our company’s needs.
Desired Skills and Responsibilities
- Backend experience in developing complex microservices and data driven applications.
- Experience with scalable applications and the concepts of service-oriented or microservices architectures
- Proficient with Node.js & Typescript, atleast have 3+ years of experience in this ecosystem.
- Thorough experience building API first applications. Knowledge of architecting scalable REST APIs and OpenAPI specification is desirable.
- Have comprehensive experience implementing cloud native solutions on AWS. (Important to have hands-on with AWS Serverless offerings: Lambda, S3, Cloudfront, DynamoDB, Cognito, Kinesis, SNS, SQS, RDS, AppSync, Kinesis).
- You should be able to implement Infrastructure as a code using Terraform or AWS Cloudformation.
- Database skills – You understand the use cases for relational and non-relational data and have experience with different database platforms like PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB or Redis.
- Strong communication skills and fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of the agile software development process.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline.
Nice to have:
- AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer Certification.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and willingness to contribute to making our deployment process as smooth as possible.
- Some knowledge of modern deploy tools - Docker/Kubernetes
