Our five (5) surgeon medical practice is seeking FULL-TIME experienced Medical Biller to work in our administrative office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing with the skills necessary to improve our current billing procedures and reduce A/R days. DUTIES include but not limited to:
- Posting charges and completion of claims in a timely fashion
- Transmit claims data to insurance providers/clearinghouse
- Work claims and claims denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided
- Benefits verification
SKILLS:
- 3+ years' experience as a medical biller
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in working with insurance companies and their websites
- Proficiency working with CPT and ICD10 codebooks
