The Room Boy at the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms. The Room Boy works independently without team management responsibilities but must be committed to upholding the high standards of hygiene and service expected at CPSP. This role demands attention to detail, honesty, and a strong work ethic to contribute positively to the guest experience. The candidate must handle cleaning supplies and equipment responsibly and follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and servicing of guest rooms including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Replace bed linens, towels, and other room amenities as required.
- Ensure all guest room areas including bathrooms are neat, clean, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Report maintenance issues or damages in a timely manner to the appropriate department.
- Assist guests courteously by responding promptly to their requests and requirements.
- Manage and maintain proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
- Keep accurate records of cleaning schedules, tasks performed, and supplies used.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and present a professional appearance at all times.
- Follow organizational guidelines and policies related to housekeeping and guest services.
- Coordinate with other hospitality staff to ensure seamless guest room maintenance and satisfaction.
