Purpose of the Position:

  • Communications is an integral part of today's busy world; effective communication is paramount in getting our messages across to the public.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for maximizing the outreach of organization's development programme.
  • The incumbent will assist team lead in conceptualizing and implementing the organization’s internal and external communications.
  • The incumbent also creates original written and visual content for a wide variety of audiences (internal/external), and publishing platforms (news releases, Internet/Intranet, video, social media, digital signage, email, presentations, reports, etc.), along with assisting in audio-visual (A/V) equipment/systems installation, operation, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide input for strategic communications plan that will help further organizations goals and enhance visibility of organization’s work.
  • Develop and implement audience centric marketing and communications campaigns and strategies and monitor their success on both digital and traditional mediums.
  • Work in close coordination with program/project teams to keep track of the on-going work and identify potential campaigning opportunities.
  • Develop and edit marketing and communications materials, including website content, press releases, blogs, articles, copies for social media and content for other communications products.
  • Develop and disseminate case studies, success stories, brochures, documentaries etc. about various programs and share it widely with beneficiaries, donors, global offices, media and other relevant fora as per requirement.
  • Develop content for social and digital media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other mediums.
  • Collect and maintain digital media archives including photo and videos
  • Develop and maintain record of social media platforms’ engagement.
  • Direct and work with in-house and external graphic designers, photographers, and other media-production personnel integral to the completion of marketing and communications campaigns
  • Identify and collaborate with social media influencers, activists, bloggers, and Vlogger for effective campaign roll-out.
  • Provide photography, videography services as and when required.
  • Work with line manager to conceptualize and implement communications strategies, run social media campaigns, and update website.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • The Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication or other relevant discipline.
  • 2+ years prior experience in marketing and communications.
  • Must have 1+ years’ experience of content writing (full time or free lance)
  • Understand the best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content.
  • Strong communication skills, who works well independently and with a team.
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong Creative and art direction along with knowledge of content production tools including Adobe Suite etc.
  • Understanding of communications, public relations, and marketing best practices.
  • Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts.
  • Must be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction.
  • Must have basic photography, videography, editing skills.
