Recovery Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Recovery officer (Male/Female) to assist with the collection of outstanding Payments against new sales and renewals. The Recovery officer will contact clients and inform them of their upcoming/outstanding payments, negotiate payment plans, and ensure payments are made as soon as possible. You may also be required to process further actions to block the services when payments are not made in time.

To ensure success as a Recovery officer, you should have excellent communication, negotiation, and mathematical skills, as well as attention to detail. A skilled Recovery Officer should be able to reduce company losses by encouraging customers to pay in time.

Collections Officer Responsibilities:

Reviewing maintaining the receivable list of clients.
Contacting customers and informing them of their upcoming/outstanding payments.
Advising customers on their payment options and suggesting methods of payments.
Negotiating suitable payment terms.
Maintaining customer payment records and reporting to the management.
Writing to customer services/operations to block the customer services when payments are not being made.
Responding to the customer queries and liaising with finance and Operations for the resolution of any issues faced by the customers.

Collections Officer Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or a similar field.
Previous experience working as a Recovery Officer.
Excellent negotiating skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of payment methods and accounting procedures.
Knowledge of Microsoft office and accounting/CRM software.
Patience and resilience.
