Consultant

We are looking for a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to join our IT Infrastructure Services team in Hyderabad. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, including system monitoring, upgrades, performance tuning, and the installation and configuration of SAP HANA in both on-premises and cloud environments. This role demands strong technical expertise across SAP, Oracle, Windows, and UNIX platforms, with a particular emphasis on supporting SAP Basis HANA and cloud migration projects. The consultant will also work closely with firewall teams to conduct testing and manage port configurations, ensuring secure and seamless integration within the IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute SAP Basis administration activities such as system monitoring, support package (SP) upgrades, and performance tuning to maintain optimal system health.
- Install and configure SAP HANA databases in both on-premises data centers and cloud environments, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Provide continuous SAP BASIS HANA support, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Lead and manage SAP cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Support AIX Unix and Oracle database applications, maintaining system stability and performance.
- Administer and maintain infrastructure environments across SAP, Oracle, Windows, and UNIX platforms.
- Collaborate with firewall teams to perform firewall testing and manage port openings, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- Operate within Unix-based server environments, with a preference for AIX Unix and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Manage Windows server environments, including scripting and automation via command-line tools for efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven experience in SAP Basis administration, with a strong focus on SAP HANA systems.
- Solid understanding of SAP cloud migration methodologies and best practices.
- Experience supporting AIX Unix and Oracle database applications in a production environment.
- Familiarity with managing SAP, Oracle, Windows, and UNIX infrastructure components.
- Ability to work collaboratively with firewall and network security teams to ensure secure system operations.
- Proficiency in Unix-based server environments, particularly AIX Unix and RHEL distributions.
- Competence in managing Windows server environments, including command-line scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
