Major Responsibilities:

Ensure that production targets are met within the stipulated timeframe

1-     In case there are any delays in receiving the input from the other departments inform the PPC department on priority and also coordinate with the department concerned for timely delivery of goods

2-     Review and evaluate the production targets on daily basis and ensure they are being met

3-     In case of any production shortfalls due to any reason on part of the other department, evaluate the reasons of delay and then take them up with the concerned departmental head, after consultation with Manager Stitching

4-     Review and evaluate the weekly section plans made by supervisors to ensure the balancing of the line.

5-     Review and evaluate the pre-plan of machines, attachments, gauges and foots / folders for upcoming orders, to assure in time availability of required resources

6-     Ensure that floater operators are allocated in the lines where necessary, in order to ensure maximum production

Ensure seamless coordination with relevant departments for input management

1-     Ensure that input is received on time from the cutting department and report to their manager to ensure in time delivery of printing / embroidery parts to the cutting department

2-     Coordinate with the relevant departments in order to ensure timely availability of all the accessories of the work order in process

 

REPORT REVIEW & ACTION PLAN

1-     Review the following reports on regular basis:

a.     Bi-hourly production report

b.    Daily bundle rejection report

c.     Daily DHU (Defect per Hundred Units) report

d.    Daily “First Pass Yield” report

e.     Daily Machine maintenance log

f.     Daily “Floater Movement” report

g.    Daily section efficiency report

h.     Monthly KPI status report

2-     Share sectional DHU, Efficiency and KPI with supervisors and carry out a review meeting

3-     Discuss reconciliation report of KPI, DHU, etc. with all the supervisors

4-     Ensure all reports are generated in time

 

TECHNICAL RELEVANT DISCREPANCY MANAGEMENT

1-     In case of out-of-tolerance measurement before wash evaluate and identify the reasons and suggest remedies. Communicate it further to the other stake holders

2-     In case of any discrepancy pertaining to pattern in relation with stitching margins, analyze reasons and suggest best possible remedy

 

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

1-     Ensure that DHU (Defects per hundred units) remains within tolerance

2-     Ensure every section is performing with maximum capacity with required quality

3-     Ensure all processes are being run as per defined SOPs and set quality parameters

4-     Ensure all health and safety parameters for the workers in the department are being taken care of and all relevant rules are adhered to

5-     To motivate supervisors and operators for the implementation of systems e.g. progressive bundle system, progressive cut system, inline inspection system and random inspection system in order to maintain the bundle integrity and smooth order closing.

 

BETTER COORDINATION WITH ALL DEPARTMENTS FOR IMPROVED PERFORMANCE

1-     Coordinate with other Sections/ Departments in helping them meet their targets and enhancing Department’s production results

 

Ensure that SOPs are implemented fully in letter and spirit

1-     Ensure that SOPs of all the processes being carried out in the department are available

2-     Ensure that all the section heads are aware of the SOPs and their requirements

3-     Ensure that SOPs are being properly followed and there are no  discrepancies

Carry out random check of various ongoing activities in the department and ensure that SOP instructions are being followed properly
