An engineering company based in Bahria Town Islamabad is looking to hire dedicated & result oriented Procurement officer.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Research potential vendors
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Review quality of purchased products
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
- Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Work with procurement manager to complete duties as needed
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations as well as legal requirements and company SOP's.
Job Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent ·
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems ·
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a procurement officer or related position
- Must have purchasing experience in the engineering field (construction knowledge is preferred) ·
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and bookkeeping ·
- Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions ·
- Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts ·
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills ·
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently ·
- Accurate and precise attention to detail ·
- Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels ·
- Goal-oriented, organized team player
- Salary will be offered based on experience
- Candidates from Islamabad/Rawapindi withr relevant experience will be given preferance.
