Responsibilities:
As a DBA, you will
- Support, Administer and Manage Databases that will enable our company to operate more efficiently in all our system processes.
- Manage key database releases for QA, Pre-Production, Production and DR.
- Maintain database including patch applications and enhancements/upgrades of environments.
- Install upgrades and patches to existing databases servers.
- Automate routine maintenance tasks like backups and archiving.
- Suggest improvements to current processes and tools we use and suggest implementation ideas.
- Perform database backups/ refreshes in non-prod environments.
- Contribute to process and troubleshooting documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
- 5+ years of hands-on database administration, support and performance tuning experience
Preferred:
- Good hands on experience on MS SQL Server.
- Experience with MongoDB and cloud platforms like AWS is a huge Plus.
- Good experience with database support, administration, performance tuning, and database monitoring.
- Experience with .NET Framework and LINQ to SQL is a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services is a plus.
- Knowledge of Database Mirroring, AlwaysOn and Windows Clustering is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with strong verbal and writing proficiency.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems involving Client Libraries (like ADO.NET), Operating Systems, Network and Storage is a plus.
