We are hiring a Procurement Officer Manager for a solar installation company who will spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes. To do well in this role you should have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management.
Procurement Officer Responsibilities:
- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Overseeing and managing the systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
- Preparing procurement reports.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
Procurement Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, supply chain management from an accredited university
- Experience in using or a desire to learn any required software and tool
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
- Have good communication skill
- Management and leadership skills.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
