Job Description:

  • Recommend solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
  • Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements for Oracle, SQL and MySQL Databases
  • Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
  • Manage different versions of Oracle (10g, 11g, 12c) and SQL database.
  • Perform tuning, backup and recovery (RMAN) of Oracle databases
  • Plan and document disaster recovery, replication and high availability scenarios for SQL/MySQL Servers

Candidate Requirement:

  •  2-4 year experience of any two databases is required (Oracle, SQL and MySQL)
  • Solid understanding of RDBMS design
  • Experience in Installation/Support/Cloning/Patching/Migration
  • Oracle high availability experience. (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Active Data Guard, Streams)
  • Exposure of Oracle ASM, OCFS, Exa Data.
  • Expertise in working on Linux/UNIX, Windows
  • Experience in Installation/Support/Cloning/Patching/Migration
  • Experience in performance tuning, backup and recovery of databases
  • SQL high availability experience. (mirroring, transactional, P2P transactional)
  • Exposure of SQL Server Clustering
