We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress Developer to maintain a functional website of our company. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end maintenance including the management of vendor uploads, making updates to the website through elementor, managing online customer requests, content management, online order management along with other back-end website maintenance responsibilities.
We are looking for self-starters who take ownership of their work and do not require a lot of hand holding. As is the case with any start up, you will get to do a lot of different tasks and be exposed to various aspects of the business.
To ensure success as a WordPress Developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress Developer can create/maintain attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality that our website will have.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a website front and back end including database and server integration.
- Answering vendor, customer queries and any uploads done on the website.
- Optimizing images uploaded by vendors onto the website.
- Meeting and onboarding vendors onto the platform.
- Updating the website aesthetically and adding in new features/plugins.
- Conducting website performance tests.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
- Conducting WordPress training with the vendors on how to upload products.
- Monitoring the performance of the live website.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- WooCommerce experience a must.
- 1 to 2 years work experience as a WordPress Developer.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Proficient in Elementor, WP builder etc.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Self-Starter who takes ownership of their work
- Ability to project manage.
- Good communication skills.
Compensation
The compensation is dependent upon the experience of the candidate. Equity in the company will also be a part of the package.
