Job Description:
As our front-end web developer, you will be responsible for implementing designs, developing, testing and maintaining our company website as well as websites for our clients. Most of the websites will be Wordpress based, and you will work closely with our Chief Designer and Creative Director. The appropriate candidate will possess the following skills/qualifications:
- Experience in Wordpress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP is a must.
- We are looking for someone who knows Susy and Breakpoint (Sass) as well as Bootstrap or foundation framework.
- Strong experience in setup and work in advanced web development workflow.
- Ability to setup local work environment such as MAMP and sync/deploy code in the cloud, such as Github.
- High proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Ability to listen/take instructions, good design skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to self-test your own work.
- Can-do attitude. If you don’t know something, you’re willing and able to figure it out.
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, tracking and analytics tools. Ability to implement and work with them is advantageous.
- Ability to use Photoshop and/or other creative tools for preparing visual assets correctly.
- Follow best practices for optimising site speed, leverage browser caching, prioritising content, etc.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work to strict deadlines.
- Positive, collaborative and dedicated attitude towards work.
- Ability to work idependently with less intervention.
