The NextGen Programme at Careem is dedicated to developing engineers and analysts by promoting best practices such as Clean Code, SOLID principles, and robust system design. This initiative covers multiple engineering domains including Backend, Frontend, Web, Mobile, Data Analysis, MLOps, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and QA. Analysts joining the Careem Analytics team will work on cutting-edge projects using modern analysis and visualization tools to tackle regional challenges and deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for all business data inquiries.
- Develop and maintain efficient reporting solutions by applying engineering best practices and utilizing various reporting tools.
- Continuously enhance reporting processes and solutions to improve accuracy and usability.
- Quickly understand business requirements and creatively solve problems through data analysis.
- Support assigned business units by translating complex data into clear tables, graphs, and written reports.
- Present analyses and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Gain subject matter expertise to define key business metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform regular data integrity audits to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Design and assess data collection methods, including surveys and opinion polls.
- Collect and analyze data related to consumers, competitors, and market trends.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of proven experience in an analytical role.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with business intelligence and visualization tools for building management dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in SQL and managing large datasets.
- Enthusiasm for adopting new technologies and contributing to large-scale, impactful products.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
- Self-driven with excellent communication and organizational skills, able to thrive in complex operational environments.
- Hands-on, process-oriented, logical thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, or Looker.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
