The Data Analyst II role is part of Careem’s NextGen Programme, designed to develop analytical excellence by training new analysts in advanced data analysis, visualization, and problem-solving. This position offers the chance to work on innovative projects and technologies, accelerating learning while contributing to real-world challenges in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for all business data inquiries, delivering timely and accurate responses.
- Develop and maintain reporting solutions by applying engineering best practices and utilizing various reporting tools.
- Continuously enhance reporting processes and tools to improve data accessibility and usability.
- Quickly understand business needs and create innovative, data-driven solutions.
- Support assigned business units by translating complex data into clear tables, graphs, and written reports.
- Present analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Build subject matter expertise to define key performance indicators and identify opportunities for business improvement.
- Conduct routine data integrity audits to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Design and assess data collection methods, including surveys, questionnaires, and opinion polls.
- Analyze data related to consumers, competitors, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in an analytical role.
- Minimum of 1 year working with business intelligence and visualization tools to create management dashboards.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with expert-level skills in querying large datasets.
- Enthusiasm for adopting new technologies and contributing to impactful, large-scale products.
- Self-driven with excellent communication and organizational skills, able to thrive in complex operational environments.
- Detail-oriented, process-focused, and a logical thinker.
- Hands-on ability to work effectively within dynamic and complex settings.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, or Looker for dashboard development.
- Familiarity with Python, R, Spark, Hive, and data lake technologies is a plus.
