- Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance as per blueprints.
- Work with (GD&T) geometric dimensions and tolerances to plan machining activities.
- Use CAM (CREO or NX) software to make cutting paths according to specifications.
- Evaluate designs and coordinate with the design team to ensure a reduction in manufacturer cost and time and utilize all raw materials for various applications and oversee all process validation functions.
- Follow-up inspection activity to ensure products meet design specifications.
- Adjust machine cutting path, Feed & Speed, or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing and work-holding methods for CNC operations.
- Develop detailed operator instructions for utilizing program data on the CNC Machines.
- Selection of required cutting tools to cut particular materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise.
- Verify job setup according to check sheet to make sure the job setup stays perfectly aligned.
- Monitor CNC programs and ensure accuracy of all instructions through comparison with original blueprints and design.
- Prepare and verify all technical documents for CNC programs on daily basis.
- Keep records and maintain log sheets of all completed jobs.
- Design new processes to reduce the time for CNC programs and resolve issues
- Provide training to subordinates related to program and manufacturing techniques.
- Operate machine if any urgent requirement.
- Perform other duties related to the project as assigned by supervisory or management personnel.
- Work on weekends and late hours if required.
