Design And Engineering Systems Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and organized Head of Store to oversee all aspects of store operations and inventory management. The successful candidate will lead a team of 10 professionals, ensuring efficient warehouse management, effective stock monitoring, and timely material handling for both the Head Office and project sites. This leadership role demands extensive experience in inventory control, supply chain coordination, and ERP system utilization to maintain seamless operations and support project execution.
The Head of Store will collaborate closely with procurement, project management, and finance teams to guarantee accurate inventory tracking and reconciliation. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong background in store management within the construction or engineering sector. A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or Business Administration, coupled with 8 years of relevant experience, is essential to excel in this position.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the store operations team of personnel, fostering a productive and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure accurate stock records across all locations.
- Implement and monitor loss prevention strategies to minimize material wastage and theft within warehouse and store facilities.
- Coordinate workforce scheduling to guarantee adequate staffing and smooth operational flow in daily store activities.
- Manage supply chain processes, including raw material procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution to project sites and departments.
- Utilize inventory management software and ERP systems to track material usage, stock reconciliation, and reporting accuracy.
- Develop and execute material requirements planning (MRP) for timely availability of goods aligned with project schedules.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to resolve any variances in stock records and improve inventory processes.
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures for material handling, storage, and warehousing to ensure safety and compliance.
- Train and develop store staff on best practices in inventory management, material handling, and use of relevant software tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize store layout, storage capacity, and inventory turnover rates.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management detailing inventory status, stock movements, and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards across all store management activities.
