Job Description of Senior Android Developer
DevSky is looking for a dedicated Android developer to join its growing company.
As a Senior Android developer, you will need to be familiar with the Android ecosystem and mobile app development, including familiarity with popular app frameworks and software development best practices. Your duties will include maintaining existing codebases, including bug fixing, and creating apps from scratch as part of a team while following all coding guidelines and industry best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the high-performance of the agile-development lifecycle by ensuring productive, consistent, and successful sprints by working to reduce blocking issues for the team.
- Develop new complex mobile applications from top to bottom (user interface design, application design, implementation, unit and functional testing). Implement new features in existing mobile applications.
- Act as a technical reference/subject matter expert in all areas of the mobile application development life-cycle.
- Translate business requirements into applications by implementing the best strategy to ensure the design meets performance, usability, reliability, and scalability standards.
- Design Intuitive Graphical User Interfaces using knowledge of serial communication and database design.
- Create new and extend existing operational documentation based on industry best practices and established international standards of software development.
- Prioritize and organize development tasks in order to contribute to meeting project and product development goals on time and on budget.
- Maintain existing mobile software systems by identifying and correcting software defects.
- Coach and develop team members to increase the team’s bench strength and flexibility.
Requirements:
Solid hands-on experience in the following languages/tools/environments:
- Android application architecture, design, and development.
- Mobile development frameworks
- Mobile application development tools and environments (Android Studio)
- In-depth experience with application and user interface level using Kotlin
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with screen sizes.
- Proven work experience in design patterns mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM
- Must have knowledge of Firebase advance integration, Google APIs, Android accessibility permissions, Constraint layout, NDK, Offline databases
- Experience with Hands-on Location-Based Applications
- Expert understanding of Agile Software Development frameworks.
Experience: 2 to 3 years
Qualification: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
Salary Range: 35k-150k
