Android Developer

Our team is seeking highly motivated and talented iOS developers responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. Your primary focus will be the development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services.

Responsibilities:

Design and build applications for the android platform
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Maintain and improve coding standards across the team, taking part in code reviews for other developers
Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance
Fully participate in the relevant scrum events; planning and estimation, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Accept joint responsibilities with the team for converting the Product backlog into 'Done'
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship market-leading app experiences for users
Owning the full Android app development lifecycle

Skills:

Experience with fast-paced development methodologies
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Strong understanding of Kotlin
Strong understanding of the Android SDK from Android 5+
Understanding of Human interface design guidelines
Knowledge of Google app store policies
Proficient in code versioning tools including Mercurial, Git, and SVN.
Experience with testing JUNIT, Espresso and Mockito, etc
Hands-on experience with DI and Android architecture components
Sound understanding of Git strategies, continuous integration setup, and automation
A genuine interest in agile development processes
Knowledge of Software Design Patterns
Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect android applications to back-end services
Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools such as Instruments and Shark, depending on project needs

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Proven industry experience of 3 to 5 years
