• Prior experience in the critical power industry and ability to troubleshoot down to component level on equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDU's, STS, DCIM etc. (Preferably 3-5 years). 

  • Utilizes hand tools and test equipment to perform tasks.

  • Timely completion of Field Service Report/Preventive Maintenance Report.

  • Possess knowledge of equipment and manufacturer's specifications.

  • Ability to work independently and exhibit resourcefulness.

  • Must be able to provide necessary pro-active recommendations to clients.

  • Candidate must be flexible enough to work nights & weekends when necessary.

  • UPS OEM factory training or experience in APC/Schneider Electric/HUAWEI is a MUST.

  • Responsible for commissioning, maintaining and providing emergency support on power electronics at customers' sites within the regional coverage area.

  • Performs commissioning focused design reviews, prepares commissioning test procedures and reports, coordinates and oversee on-site testing.

  • Perform required quarterly or semi-annual preventative maintenance service to equipment under contract as scheduled.

  • Perform initial starts-ups, emergency response and/or field modifications.

  • Attends periodic training at the company's headquarters on various OEM units and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which includes testing equipment and/or rebuilding older systems.

  • Troubleshooting issues with the technical-support group related to maintenance or operation of equipment.

  • Educate customers on basic operation of their equipment, informing them of issues they may experience and the necessary corrective actions.

  • Establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, coworkers, sales representatives and others.

  • Maintain and safeguard company-issued tools and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot critical power systems down to the root cause and perform repairs with minimum customer downtime or site operation disruption.

  • Recognize sales opportunities for critical power equipment and other add-on products and link potential customers with the appropriate internal and external sales and technical resources.
