Digitek Engineering, a well-established Engineering Design Company in Karachi, is looking for a Embedded Software Developer to join our growing team. Your responsibilities would entail:
Implement software and drivers for communications protocols and various SoC/FPGA Devices. You will also implement features to support hardware testing of Custom Hardware Platforms. This is a highly cross functional role and you’ll work closely with various in-house and offshore teams, like FPGA Development Engineers, Board Design Engineers, Hardware Testing, QA, Factory, Manufacturing and Operations. The environment is dynamic, fast-paced and requires a go-getter attitude.
Key Qualifications
• A genuine passion for embedded software development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for device firmware and API development.
• Bash and Python scripting experience for developing hardware bring up and test automation environments.
• Linux kernel device drivers for Ethernet, DMA and other peripherals (I2C, SPI, MDIO etc.) on our custom PCB boards.
• Familiar with ARM toolchain and creating build environment using MakeFiles.
• Familiar with Uboot and embedded Linux like Angstrom/PetaLinux for bringing up our custom PCB boards with FPGAs, Processors and other high-end devices on board.
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly and turn them in to required solutions.
• Able to comprehend hardware specs and schematics.
• Excellent collaborative skills, should be a great team player.
