This position requires 2+ years of WordPress experience, which is ideal for developers with high attention to detail looking to expand their expertise.

In your role as WordPress Developer, you will be expected to:
- Work with a team of developers, designers, and project managers;
- Develop custom WordPress plugins and themes and configure WordPress websites;
- Select and debug WordPress plugins;
- Create documentation;
- Translate Figma designs to WordPress
Requirements
- What skill set do you need to succeed?
- At least 2 years of experience working with WordPress;
- Experience building modern WordPress sites that embrace the block editor;
- Experience using tools developing components using Gutenberg and Elementor;
- Experience writing PHP, SASS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript;
- Experience using a project management tool;
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Be able to contribute towards search engine optimization by ensuring performance metrics are above par, e.g. Pagespeed insights
- Holding fast to clean code standards
- Expert-level skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience building custom WordPress themes/plugins with best practices
- Complete understanding of the WordPress core software and its functions at the code level
- Build responsive websites that function perfectly on any device or browser size
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket
- Ability to execute ADA and SEO best practices
- Leverage WP Plugin Advanced Custom Fields
- Proactively perform cross-browser compatibility tests and iterate to work through the bugs
- Adept at developing custom WP themes from Figma design files
- Collaborate with both UX/UI Web Designers and Backend Developers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation to complete projects, websites, platforms and other web experiences
- Optimize application for optimum speed and scalability
- Communicate positively and honestly with a strong work ethic and reliability
- The working hours for this position are flexible as long as you meet assigned deadlines.
- You will be required to be available during business hours based on the EST timezone and be able to join in on virtual team meetings.
