We are looking for an experienced cloud engineer to work with our engineering team to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will be responsible for deploying and debugging cloud-based solutions, taking new cloud initiatives, and ensuring the security of the cloud infrastructure.
To be successful as a cloud engineer, you should be equipped with a strong Linux and Windows skillset/hands-on to maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies. A top-notch cloud engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills, stay current with industry trends, and should be a team player.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Deployment, management and maintenance of virtualization platforms like KVM/Nutanix.
- Will be deploying, troubleshooting and maintaining multiple environments based on various Linux distributions.
- Working with large datacenters and ability to plan infrastructure design.
- Coordination with Datacenter Support Team for Power, Cooling, environment control monitoring, and reports
- He will be working to plan the installation of new gear, in terms of calculating power & network requirements and rack space availability.
- Troubleshooting hardware, network issues in the Datacenter.
- Will be responsible for monitoring infrastructure devices and fix problems
- Responsible for log analysis and audits for infrastructure devices.
- Implementation of security hardening for Linux and Windows-based operating systems.
- Good understanding of software and hardware techniques for x86 virtualization
- Documentation related to infrastructure, Asset inventory, Rack Diagrams
- Will be working on the creation of capacity planning reports and provides analysis.
- He will be working with hardware/software vendors and other departments.
- Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues for the development Team.
- Interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on client needs.
- Should be available on call and fix the datacenter/Infrastructure issues reported by the support team during Off Hours
- Need to Produce quality work and meet the deadlines.
- Will be working on planning projects and tasks and take the lead on them.
Internal Relationships:
Support Team, Customer Success Team, Implementation Team, Marketing Team, MSP Team, Development Team, Security Team
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Sciences or a similar field
- At least 5 years of hands with Linux-based operating systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in Cloud computing
Skills Requirement:
- Advanced Linux Skills
- Bash scripting
- Good knowledge of Datacenters planning, design, and gear rack and stack best practices.
- Experienced with corporate-level Networking knowledge.
- Equipped with good understanding and hands-on with storage platforms.
- Good understanding of NMS solutions.
- Knowledge of different Log analysis tools and applications e,g Elastic search, SPLUNK.
- Knowledge of best security practices and hands-on for the implementation.
- Passionate about coding and problem solving, curious to learn new things and embrace new ideas.
- Capable of handling stress and stay focused in pressure situations.
- Good communication Skills
- Capable of learning quickly and effectively apply new knowledge, demonstrating a desire to stay in touch with emerging technologies.
- A self-starter who loves to find creative solutions to challenging problems
