The position will be in the Legal Department Advisory Wing.
- It will provide dedicated legal support and advice to over thirty one constituent units, hospitals, laboratories, and departments of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) under supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel.
- The role is responsible for both day-to-day operational activities as well as assistance in strategic corporate legal advisory related to contracts, policy, governance, employee service matters etc.
- It will require coordination, consultation, negotiation, and advice with internal and external stakeholders.
- The Legal Counsel should be an initiator possessing excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- He / she will assist in streamlining legal, governance, and policy processes and procedures in DUHS.
- Writes legal opinions and provides advice on legal and regulatory matters of the organization and its thirty one constituent units including colleges, hospitals, laboratories, and clinics.
- Employee Service Matters including institutional disciplinary actions, sexual harassment complaints, HR Legal Advisory
- Assists in contracts drafting, negotiating, reviews, vetting and managing contract legal processes
- Any other legal tasks assigned by the Senior Legal Counsel
