- Do code reviews of the team member before the code is checked-in.
- Making sure that the code being written adheres to the organizational coding standards at DPL.
- Helping team with the approval of architecture review.
- Helping team members in technical issues and where needed getting external help/feedback for the team members.
- Ensuring code quality of the team. Devising mechanism for continuous improvement in technical output of the team. Gauging and evaluating team members on the code quality.
- Getting external code reviews done for the team.
- Introducing best practices in the team and upon success, introducing same practices company wide.
- R&D related to technical improvement areas and encouraging a culture of productivity hacking and other ways to make work more efficient. e.g. encouraging practices such as automated testing and VS macros etc.
- Identifying areas where code can be turned into IP or copyright for the company.
- Participating in company-wide meetings of technical leads to discuss issues and improvement areas.
- Participating in Scrum of Scrums if needed.
- A technical lead will be considered successful in his job role when his code reviews and architectural reviews can get passed and no supervision of seniors is deemed necessary to publish the code.
- Skills Required: Asp.Net MVC, Web APIs, Entity framework, MS SQL Server, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, design pattrens.
