Dreamworks Dental Studios seeks an experienced Dental Assistant with at least ten years of hands-on experience to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate supports dentists during dental procedures by providing efficient chairside assistance and ensures the dental operatory maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and patient safety. This role requires expertise in infection control, sterilization techniques, and proficiency in radiography to assist in diagnostic processes, contributing to superior patient care. The Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in preparing and managing dental instruments and equipment, including operating autoclaves to sterilize tools properly. Additionally, familiarity with dental software systems enhances the ability to manage patient records efficiently. At Dreamworks Dental Studios, this role is pivotal in fostering a positive patient experience by demonstrating exceptional care and professionalism during all patient interactions. As this position does not involve team management, the focus remains on individual responsibility and collaboration within the clinical team.
Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures to support dentists effectively and enhance patient comfort.
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols, including proper use of autoclave equipment.
  • Operate dental radiography equipment to assist in capturing clear diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety.
  • Prepare, arrange, and sterilize dental instruments and materials needed for various dental treatments.
  • Manage and update patient information accurately using dental software to maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records.
  • Assist in patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patients feel comfortable throughout their visit.
  • Ensure the dental operatory is clean, well-organized, and stocked with necessary supplies at all times.
  • Monitor and maintain the functionality of dental equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations relevant to dental practice and workplace environments.
  • Support the dental team by managing appointment schedules and preparing treatment rooms between patients.
