General Position Summary:
This position will be responsible to drive vehicle as per standard organizational protocols. He will be responsible for look after the vehicles and keep them maintain at all levels. He will work with project teams in the identified areas of project intervention. He will be responsible to reflect the humanitarian mission and bring credit to organization.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Operate Organization vehicle as assigned by supervisor/transport department.
- Maintain vehicle log-sheets in accordance with Organizational policies/regulations.
- Check the vehicle conditions after each trip/routinely – report needs and problems to transport management.
- Adhere to all safety and communication protocols as advised by organization and supervisor.
- Responsible for the safekeeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits, spares etc.
- Undertake field assignments as assigned.
- Work during morning, evening and night shifts according to duty schedule – as assigned by Supervisor with the understanding that night shift is 12-hour shifts including duty roaster for night shift.
- Follow all Organization SOPs on Safety and Security while conducting the activities in the assigned areas of catchment of Population (community/office) Attend all refresher training sessions and meetings with other members of the project as required.
- Conduct himself professionally and personally in such a manner so as to bring credit to Organization and in no way jeopardize its humanitarian efforts.
- Other relevant duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Security:
- Ensure compliance with security procedures and policies as determined by country leadership.
- Proactively ensure that team members operate in a secure environment and are aware of policies.
- Work closely with the Security Officer or Security focal person to ensure that all Organization Safety and Security SOPs are followed while conducting the activities in the project area.

Works Directly With: Operations & Program Team
